EXHIBITION: Jean Nouvel at the Gagosian Athens
One of the world's most famous "starchitects", Jean Nouvel is also known for his design works and sculptures, like the set of coloured mirrors that are part of this exhibition.

Born in 1945, French architect and designer Jean Nouvel is one of the world's best-known starchitects, and not without good reason: his often iconic buildings are memorable landmarks that often characterise the city they're in, like for example the Torre Aigües in Barcelona, Tower 25 in Nicosia and the nearly-completed dome of the Abu Dhabi Louvre Museum. A Pritzker Prize recipient, Nouvel is also active as a designer, with a separate studio that produces his furniture and other design objects.

Gagosian Athens presents a selection of these objects, namely a series of coloured mirror works and an oversized toolbox sculpture that is a humorous nod to the art and craft of the architect as maker.
