Mentioned in the British Journal of Photography as "arguably the smallest international photography festival in the world", the Antiparos International Photo Festival is about to host its fifth edition this July, in the whitewashed alleys of Antiparos' main village. Organised by local curator Mary Hatzaki, photographer Yiannis Bagourdas and  David Frazer Wray, the festival focuses on emerging talent from around the world, but also includes work by established international photographers.

For ten days, the Antiparos Castle will be specially illuminated to host the small exhibitions of participating photographers, displayed in open air on the whitewashed alleys of the Cycladic village. Local art gallery Anti is also participating by playing host to some of the photographs, and part of the festival's proceedings will go to renovating Antiparos' school. A programme of music concerts and workshops by visiting artists make this compact but worldly festival a reason to visit Antiparos this summer, to discover the imaginative outlook of contemporary talent from around the globe.
