Organised as part of the opening events of Paphos 2017 Cultural Capital of Europe, the group exhibition Plánetes occupies two separate buildings in the city, and presents the work of contemporary artists from Cyprus, Greece and other countries. A selection of sculptures, paintings, audiovisual works and installations curated by Cypriot curator and researcher Elena Parpa weaves a spatial and mental experience that brings together new and current work by its featured artists, all the while maintaining a strong sense of locality, or even cypriotness.

Ranging from the viscerally material and palpable to the purely conceptual and evanescent, the exhibition approaches its theme of "travellers of the world" as a condition of constant movement and exploration, but also through the lens of dislocation in general as in for example the condition of immigrants and refugees. The exhibition is accompanied by a parallel programme of activities, as well as a catalogue with texts by artists, curators and theoreticians from Cyprus and abroad.
