On Saturday the 25th of June, Hermès returns to the graceful colonnades of the Cloître des Cordeliers in Paris to present its new Spring-Summer ready-to-wear men's collection, in a show that every year marks one of the most important moments on the summer fashion-week calendar. Over the ten years of her tenure as head designer for menswear at Hermès, Véronique Nichanian has developed her own particular style of men's fashion, one that is light and contemporary without losing touch with the brand's DNA. From her imaginative prints that celebrate Hermès' legacy to her collaborations with contemporary artists, Nichanian constantly reinvents luxury menswear, but as she says, without caricaturing men and their style. Being the only woman designing men's collections for a fashion house of that calibre, Nichanian's ideas, choices of materials and touch are definitely unique, and tomorrow's runway show in Paris is bound to be as lush, refined and full of surprises as only Hermès knows how to deliver.
